Inlet Process

When the male rotor and female screw rotate in opposite directions (counterclockwise and clockwise), the volume between the teeth gradually increases due to meshing, forming inter-tooth volumes. The increase in these inter-tooth volumes enhances the internal vacuum, and because only the inlet port is connected to them, gas enters the inter-tooth volumes driven by the pressure differential.

Compression Process

As the vacuum compressor pump rotors continue to rotate, the inter-tooth volume gradually decreases because the meshing force between the rotor teeth causes a reduction in the volume of the inter-tooth spaces. The volume of gas sealed within the inter-tooth spaces consequently decreases, leading to an increase in pressure, thus completing the compression process of the gas.

Exhaust Process

When the inter-tooth volume connects with the exhaust port, it acts as an exhaust passage, allowing the gas at higher exhaust pressure to be expelled through the exhaust port. At this point, the inter-tooth volume further decreases until it fully closes, preventing any additional gas from being drawn in.
